Terms & Conditions

1. Hirer / Driver Requirements
(a) Hirer / Driver must be at least 23 years old with at least 2 years of driving experience.
(b) For Singaporeans / PRs: valid NRIC and Singapore driver license.
(c) For Non-Singaporeans / Foreigners*: valid ID/Passport and international driver license.
*Please note that for non-Singaporeans who have lived in Singapore for more than a year, you are required to convert to a Singapore’s driver license.
(d) Only authorized drivers are insured to drive our rental vehicle.

2. Rates
(a) All prices are quoted in Singapore dollars and are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the prevailing rate.
(b) Rental is calculated based on a 24-hour basis. Our short-term rental starts from a minimum of two days on weekdays and three days on weekends.

3. Insurance and Excess
(a) All our cars are insured. The insurance excess will depend on your rental agreement.
(b) The excess for Malaysia-use vehicle is double of the applicable excess in Singapore.
(c) Hirer is responsible for the excess stated in the Schedule for loss or damage to the hired vehicle for each and every accident during the period of rental. It is the responsibility of the Hirer to report all damages and accidents to Asia Car Leasing Pte Ltd immediately.
(d) Please note that the insurance and collision damage waiver will not cover:
– driving the hired vehicle under the influence of liquor or drugs
– driving the hired vehicle to perform illegal activities
– driver below 23 years old and above 70 years old
– driver without 2 years driving experience; and
– driving without a valid driver license
(e) Additional Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)* coverage against personal injuries to Hirer and passengers in the case of an accident may be arranged at a nominal premium of S$50.00 per month. This provides a cover of S$50,000.00 for the driver and up to four (4) passengers each at S$10,000.00 upon death or permanent injuries.
* Hirer may purchase a PAI on their own from any insurance company directly.

4. Deposit
(a) Credit Card details are required for short-term rentals.
(b) A minimum deposit of one month is required for any rental period that is more than one month.
(c) Deposit will be refunded at the end of the rental period after off-setting any traffic fines or repair costs which have been incurred during the Period of Hire.

5. Payment
(a) We require a Credit Card (Visa/Mastercard) for booking and payment for all short-term rentals.
(b) We accept bank transfer, PayNow and Interbank Giro for long-term lease.
(c) No cash payment will be accepted.

6. Fines and Notices
(a) ERP and toll fees, parking charges and all traffic fines for the original hired vehicle or replacement vehicle is at the Hirer’s expense.

7. Fuel
(a) Refilling of petrol used is at the Hirer’s expense.
(b) Upon returning of the vehicle, Hirer should refill the fuel back to the same level as per given.
(c) Hirer should refuel vehicles with minimum 95 Octane petrol / 98 Octane petrol.
(d) Failure to refuel vehicles to the same level as per given will be subjected to additional charges.

8. Mileage
(a) For long-term lease, there is unlimited mileage.
(b) For short-term rental, mileage is limited to 200km per day, 1200km per week and 3500km per month.
(c) Excess mileage is charged at S$0.50 per km (normal class) or S$1.00 per km (luxury class) upon returning the vehicle.

9. Malaysia Usage
(a) All vehicles on short-term rental are prohibited from driving into Malaysia.
(b) All vehicles on long-term lease are allowed to drive into Malaysia.
(c) There is no breakdown service provided in Malaysia. No replacement car will be given in Malaysia.

10. No Show
(a) If booked vehicle is not collected, rental charges or deposit paid will be forfeited.
